We Wear Culture: 3.000 years of fashion in Google

Google does us a great favor. The digital search platform has recently presented the project We wear culture, a virtual exhibition of free access that shows 3,000 years of the world of fashion. The only problem with this impressive exhibition is that if you enter … you will not be able to get out … it catches you in thousands of fashion stories that you can not help but wonder.

In collaboration with the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum and 180 different renowned institutions from all over the world, Google Arts & Culture presents the We Wear Culture project, a virtual exhibition that gathers three centuries of the world of fashion.

From the stilettos of Marilyn Monroe to the Street Styles of modern Tokyo, now the world of fashion is available to everyone.

Sustainability has its place in We Wear Culture

Using the state-of-the-art technology, the project allows us to explore from the old silk route to the fashion of Versailles, or the best British punk movement, as well as the history behind the clothes we wear. We discover iconic pieces that have changed the way of dressing through generations.

We can explore more than 400 stories created by curators who come from the major fashion institutions around the world.
