Michelle Caron-Pawlowsky, eine Studentin der Fotografie, ist von diesem neuen Gef\u00fchl \u00fcberzeugt. Ihr j\u00fcngstes Projekt ist eine multidisziplin\u00e4re Installation. Es ist das erste Mal, dass sie etwas so K\u00f6rperliches erforscht, und in ihrem Herzen ver\u00e4ndert sich etwas. Eine neue Welle der Erregung und Inspiration kommt auf. Sie l\u00e4chelt, und ihr k\u00fcnstlerisches Selbst ver\u00e4ndert sich: Der Beginn ihrer installativen Kunst startet.<\/p>\n

Caron-Pawlowsky, die im Nebenfach Nachhaltigkeitsstudien studiert, blickt inzwischen mehr als nur auf eine Installation zur\u00fcck. W\u00e4hrend sie weiterhin mit physischer Kunst arbeitet, hat sie begonnen, ihre eigenen Leidenschaften zu erforschen. Ihr Schwerpunkt hat sich auf das Aussterben und den Wert von Pflanzen verlagert, was in der Arbeit mit ausgestorbenen Pflanzen gipfelte. „Etwas, mit dem ich viel arbeite, ist die Idee des Wertes. Ausgestorbene Pflanzen wurden zu einer Erweiterung meiner Leidenschaft f\u00fcr das, was wertvoll ist und was nicht und warum.“<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend sie weitere Themen erforscht, haben sich Kunst und Natur mehr und mehr miteinander verwoben. Sie erkl\u00e4rt: „Es ist einfach, sich auf die Natur zu projizieren. Sich selbst in ihr zu sehen. Die symbolische Darstellung der Natur ist endlos; sie ist vertraut und emotional. Sie w\u00e4chst und wandelt sich. Sie erh\u00e4lt und bricht zusammen, w\u00e4hrend wir sie verletzen“. F\u00fcr sie ist die Natur mehr als das Physische geworden. Sie hat sich ins Symbolische verlagert: ein st\u00e4ndiger Fluss der Ver\u00e4nderung, den sie erforschen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n \n\n

Je mehr Installationen sie geschaffen hat, desto komplexer ist die Natur f\u00fcr sie geworden. „Die Natur wurde f\u00fcr mich dual. Sie brachte mich dazu, meine Wahrnehmung dessen, was nat\u00fcrlich oder unnat\u00fcrlich ist, zu hinterfragen. Es ging um mehr als nur um Pflanzen; es ging auch um uns als Rasse. Warum legen wir mehr Wert auf bestimmte Menschen als auf andere? Queerness und Kunst wurden f\u00fcr mich symbolisch. Wer hat bestimmte willk\u00fcrliche Entscheidungen dar\u00fcber getroffen, was wichtig ist und was nicht?“<\/p>\n

Das Konzept der Natur selbst schien sich zu ver\u00e4ndern. „Die Idee, was nat\u00fcrlich ist, kommt aus der menschlichen Perspektive selbst. Die Idee, dass der Mensch der Mittelpunkt des Universums ist, hat etwas Zentrales an sich. Aber es gibt dieses Paradoxon, dass es unm\u00f6glich ist, sich wirklich als etwas anderes als ein Mensch in die Natur hineinzuversetzen“. Caron-Pawlowskys Erkundung dieser Komplexit\u00e4t zieht sich durch ihr gesamtes Werk, aber in ihrem Projekt mit dem Titel Altars wurde sie besonders stark von diesen Binarit\u00e4ten inspiriert. Dennoch war es nicht ohne Schwierigkeiten. „Ich k\u00e4mpfte damit, menschliche Binarit\u00e4ten auf die Natur zu \u00fcbertragen, diese menschlichen Ideale auf Pflanzen […] wie konnte ich diese Elemente auf etwas \u00fcbertragen, das so flie\u00dfend und frei von diesen Ideen ist?“<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr Caron-Pawlowsky r\u00fcckt die Zukunft in den Fokus. Ihre Leidenschaft f\u00fcr die Umwelt weitet sich auf ein neues Portr\u00e4tprojekt aus: „Ich beginne einen Aufenthalt bei einer Organisation in Montreal. Ich arbeite an einem Projekt \u00fcber M\u00e4dchen im Teenageralter im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum“. Sie hat das Gef\u00fchl, dass dieses Thema noch nie so wichtig war wie heute. „Es geht um die Idee des Raums. Die Infrastruktur vergisst diese M\u00e4dchen im Teenageralter irgendwie. Diese M\u00e4dchen neigen dazu, in den Hintergrund zu treten; sie sind im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum oft in der Minderheit. Ich hielt das f\u00fcr eine sehr wichtige und interessante Untersuchung. Wir machen Portr\u00e4ts von jungen Frauen, die schlie\u00dflich in einer Ausstellung zusammen mit den Forschungsergebnissen gezeigt werden sollen.“<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n \n\n
