Die zeitgen\u00f6ssische Mode richtet ihren Blick wieder auf das Unvollkommene \u2014 auf das, was das System zu tilgen oder zu verbergen versucht hat. Im Barbican in London entfaltet sich die Ausstellung <i>Dirty Looks: Desire and Decay in Fashion<\/i> als sinnliche Reise durch ein halbes Jahrhundert materieller Rebellion. Doch unter ihrer Oberfl\u00e4che liegt mehr als eine \u00e4sthetische Neubetrachtung: eine neue Ethik der Zeit. Eine Vers\u00f6hnung mit dem Stoff der Welt und der Verg\u00e4nglichkeit der Dinge. Kuratiert von Karen Van Godtsenhoven und Jon Astbury ist die Schau bis zum 25. Zwischen Sicherheitsnadeln, Leder und aufgerissenen N\u00e4hten er\u00f6ffnete der Punk eine \u00c4sthetik des Widerstands \u2013 eine Art, Ordnung durch Stoff und K\u00f6rper zu trotzen. Kleidung war nicht l\u00e4nger Dekoration, sondern Waffe, eine Sprache des Protests. Diese Rebellion, geboren aus Dringlichkeit und Mangel, war zugleich eine fr\u00fche Geste der Nachhaltigkeit: Wiederverwenden, Flicken, Verl\u00e4ngern der Lebensdauer von Dingen. Statt mehr zu produzieren, machte der Punk Abnutzung sichtbar und reklamierte sie als Zeichen von Identit\u00e4t. Vier Jahrzehnte sp\u00e4ter erben <a href=\"https:\/\/luxiders.com\/de\/luxury-deadstock-fabrics-resale-plattformen-der-neue-weg-fuer-zirkulaere-mode\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">zirkul\u00e4re Mode<\/a> und Upcycling diesen Geist \u2013 \u00fcbersetzt in eine andere Sprache, aber noch immer im Dienst des Wiedergebrauchs und des bewussten Umgangs mit Ressourcen, als Gegenkraft zu einem Modesystem, das von \u00dcberproduktion und Ausbeutung gepr\u00e4gt ist.<\/p>\n<p>Am entgegengesetzten Ende von Punks Zorn, doch getragen von einer \u00e4hnlichen Sensibilit\u00e4t f\u00fcr die Zeit, entstand die japanische Philosophie des Wabi-Sabi im Westen als Erinnerung daran, dass Perfektion kein universeller Wert ist. Was erodiert, rei\u00dft oder verblasst, tr\u00e4gt ebenfalls Wahrheit in sich. Designer*innen wie Rei Kawakubo, Yohji Yamamoto und Issey Miyake verwandelten durch diesen Blick das Ideal der Mode. Falten, Asymmetrien und abgenutzte Stoffe wurden zu Formen der Freiheit. Gegen die westliche Obsession mit dem Makellosen schl\u00e4gt Wabi-Sabi eine Ethik der F\u00fcrsorge und Verg\u00e4nglichkeit vor \u2013 eine Art, Sch\u00f6nheit in dem zu erkennen, was sich ver\u00e4ndert oder verschwindet. Unter ihnen nimmt Hussein Chalayans <i>The Tangent Flows<\/i> (1993) eine zentrale Position ein. F\u00fcr diese Kollektion vergrub Chalayan Kleidungsst\u00fccke zusammen mit Eisenfeilsp\u00e4nen und lie\u00df Erde, Feuchtigkeit und Oxidation sie \u00fcber Monate hinweg verwandeln. Als sie wieder ausgegraben wurden, hatten sich Farbe und Textur ver\u00e4ndert \u2013 sie waren zu arch\u00e4ologischen Artefakten geworden, fast zu Fossilien ihrer selbst. Chalayan entwarf nicht gegen die Zeit, sondern mit ihr. Sein Werk antizipierte eine Frage, die f\u00fcr die zeitgen\u00f6ssische Mode immer wichtiger wird: Wie kann man mit der Natur zusammenarbeiten, statt sie zu beherrschen?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Diese Sensibilit\u00e4t pr\u00e4gt auch eine neue Generation von Designer*innen, die in der Unvollkommenheit einen fruchtbaren Boden finden, um die Beziehung zwischen Mode und \u00d6kologie neu zu denken. Paolo Carzana f\u00e4rbt seine Stoffe mit nat\u00fcrlichen Pigmenten und vern\u00e4ht sie von Hand in dem, was er <span class=\"s1\">\u201e<\/span>ein angezogenes Gebet<span class=\"s1\">\u201c<\/span> nennt. Solitude Studios l\u00e4sst Schlamm und Torfwasser d\u00e4nischer Moore ihre Texturen auf Stoff hinterlassen. Elena Velez arbeitet mit Stahl und Ton in Shows, die Zeremonien der Erosion \u00e4hneln, in denen Schlamm zum heiligen Material wird. Ihre Praktiken geben der Mode eine rituelle Dimension zur\u00fcck \u2013 jedes Kleidungsst\u00fcck eine Zusammenarbeit mit den Elementen, die menschliche Fragilit\u00e4t ebenso offenlegt wie die Kraft der Natur. Fernab industrieller Produktion laden diese Arbeiten dazu ein, Mode als \u00d6kologie statt als \u00d6konomie zu verstehen, bei der nicht das Endprodukt z\u00e4hlt, sondern der Prozess, der Kreislauf, die fortw\u00e4hrende Transformation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Doch <i>Dirty Looks<\/i> geht \u00fcber Materialit\u00e4t hinaus und untersucht die Beziehung zwischen Unvollkommenheit, K\u00f6rper und Begehren. Designer*innen wie Michaela Stark und Robert Wun verwandeln Verletzlichkeit in eine erotische Sprache und erinnern daran, dass Sinnlichkeit nicht in Perfektion, sondern in Einzigartigkeit liegt. Stark enth\u00fcllt durch ihre skulpturalen Korsetts Falten und Spannungen der Haut als Spuren emotionaler Wahrhaftigkeit. Wun hingegen nutzt Feuer und Flecken als Symbole der Reinigung und erschafft Kleider, die wirken, als h\u00e4tten sie Rituale der Metamorphose durchlaufen. In Bubu Ogisis Arbeiten werden Pflanzenfasern und Naturfarbstoffe zu Formen spiritueller Heilung \u2013 ein Weg, sich mit den eigenen Wurzeln zu verbinden und Materialien, die durch Kolonisation und Massenproduktion ihrer Bedeutung beraubt wurden, wieder Sinn zu verleihen. Jede dieser kreativen Positionen stellt dieselbe Frage: K\u00f6nnen wir uns mit der Unvollkommenheit vers\u00f6hnen \u2013 ohne Angst, Schuld oder Nostalgie?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Dirty Looks: Desire and Decay in Fashion<\/i> zeigt Mode nicht als Produkt, sondern als Spur, als sichtbar gewordene Erinnerung. Fernab des Glanzes des Laufstegs offenbaren Kleidungsst\u00fccke ihre Verletzlichkeit und zeigen, dass in der Sch\u00f6nheit des Verfalls eine tiefere Wahrheit liegt.
