For the second year running, the KARL LAGERFELD x AMBER VALLETTA collection is here. In collaboration with Amber Valletta, KARL LAGERFELD is releasing a stunning and sustainable collection of ready-to-wear clothing.  Model, activist, and Sustainability ambassador, Amber Valletta, has worked closely with designers, creating beautiful garments to take your spring wardrobe to the next level without harming the planet. The series of sleek yet practical clothing made from certified sustainable fabrics is launching today, 7th April 2022.

Last year’s collection made waves in the sustainable fashion scene, winning a fashion award from PETA - exemplifying KARL LAGERFELD's commitment to sustainability. KARL LAGERFELD continues to fine-tune its manufacturing process, becoming increasingly ethical year after year.

"It was important that the collection be designed with timelessness in mind since this idea is closely tied with sustainability and extending the life of our clothes. These are classic, seasonless pieces that can easily be interchanged to create multiple looks," says Amber Valletta.

When it comes to sustainable fashion, repeating outfits is the way to go. That’s why for the second year running the K/Kushion bag is part of the collection. This iconic bag was Karl Lagerfeld's bag of choice when traveling, demonstrating its functionality and style. Fashion does not come at a price, as this gorgeous number is made from vegan cactus leather and dyed using organic pigments.

In order to be sustainable, brands should consider the success of previous sales to ensure they are creating products they know their customers will love. Following the positive reaction to the K/Kushion bag, it has been released in two smaller sizes: pleated clutch and crossbody.

"Working with Amber has pushed us to think outside of the box, even more, when it comes to innovation and design. This collaboration with her gives us the drive to continuously improve how we move through the world with sustainability at the forefront of our values," says Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of KARL LAGERFELD.

KARL LAGERFELD joined the Fashion Pact in 2019, a global sustainability initiative targeting climate, biodiversity, and ocean protection - aiming to make the fashion industry more sustainable. Since joining the Fashion Pact in 2019, KARL LAGERFELD have adapted their production method and business plan to reduce its impact on the planet.
