This line marks the continuation of the Italian brand’s commitment to a more sustainable world. The initiative approaches the concept of upcycling with the star of vintage clothing, Levi’s. Titled Upcycled by Miu Miu x Levi’s the collection reworks iconic denim pieces with Miu Miu’s singular touch.

The debut collection, released last fall, restored and reworked 80 vintage dresses from the archives making them fashionable again. Thus, Miuccia Prada gave green light to her sustainable project.

The upcoming release, faced by Emma Corrin, Georgia Palmer and Lila Moss, and it includes Levi’s most signature pieces such as the 501 jeans and the Tucker jacket. Brought right from Levi’s archives, Miu Miu has transformed the pieces with embroidered crystals, pearls, diamantés and leather patches with intarsia motifs inspired by Art Deco. The iconic rear patch also receives “the Miu Miu treatment” by changing its colour to light pink and stamping it with the logos of both brands.

“No two pieces in the collection are the same. Reimagined through the Miu Miu lens, the lives of garments worn and loved in the past are extended, refreshed — renewed,” Miu Miu stated.

This highly limited edition of Upcycled by Miu Miu in collaboration with Levi’s will be released in mid – May exclusively at London Selfridges and Shanghai IAPM. It will after be available online on miumiu.com, at the Dover Street Market of Los Angeles and in 18 selected stores all over the world.
