MASSIMO ALBA

-- --

"The collection was born as a gift to my wife, putting together the garments that I considered indispensable in a women’s wardrobe: a coat, a peacoat and four sweaters." Said Massimo Alba, when he enveiled his first line of women’s clothing in 2006-2007, followed by the menswear collections. The brand aims to support essential and elegant clothing at the same time, producing in small quantities. The collections are 100% made in Italy, using natural fabrics, often dyed by hand. The designer supports local production, as he claims "the idea of wearing something that come up close and does not travel to the other side of the world to be here". An expression of the brand’s ethical commitment is the collection of handkerchiefs and shawls dedicated to African animals, in partnership with African Parks, whose proceeds has been donated to the same association that safeguards the protected areas on behalf of governments in collaboration with local communities throughout the African continent.
