PAOLINA RUSSO

-- --

Jhon Galliano’s muse and source of inspiration, the young Canadian designer Paolina Russo, after graduating from Central Saint Martins in London and two work experiences in the house of Galliano and Martin Margiela, launched her homonymousb brand. Her collections could be defined eccentric and colorful, as well as the same designer who since high school dyed her colored hair and wore vintage clothes. Forgotten sports equipment and vintage or unsold materials are transformed into modern and unique knitwear designs. Sustainability is the beating heart of Paolina Russo brand, who said during an interview: "A huge part of sustainability is that you need to make sure what you’re doing isn’t harming the environment. But if you’re making fashion, you really need to be committed. If I want to make these new things, I need to make sure that they’re good, and that they’re forever." Inspired by the fantasy world, Paolina also introduced the use of natural fibers, which compared to the mixed ones, last longer and age better.
