Plastic Free July 2020: Get Inspired To Go Plastic Free!

It’s Plastic Free July! A global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution of plastic pollution - but how exactly can you be a part of the solution? It can be difficult finding ways to get involved in movements, especially now with social distancing. So, we have put together the online events, panel discussions, film screenings and even quizzes all about plastic pollution that we’re excited about.

The main goal is to reject single-use plastic, however, during this challenge it’s great to also engage with likeminded individuals, be informed about new solutions and stay inspired. Did you know every piece of plastic that’s been thrown away is still on the earth? Even biodegradable ones - so, let’s do something about it.

JOIN THE PLASTIC FREE JULY CHALLENGE

The first event is, obviously, the main event. Plastic Free July is a campaign run by the independent, non-profit organisation The Plastic Free Foundation. To celebrate Plastic Free July’s 10th year running, East Waste and Plastic Free SA are hosting a Zoom webinar (a seminar held over the internet). They will be exploring how to go plastic free by avoiding, reducing, reusing and recycling items. It’s also an opportunity to share stories of individuals and businesses that are making a difference.
