BURBERRY

-- --

The British luxury fashion house Burberry hopes that by 2022, everything they make will have a positive contribution to the planet. They currently source 68% of the electricity used for their offices, stores, warehouses, and internal manufacturing from renewable sources, and their Heritage Trench Coat is made only with renewable energy. Burberry's Regeneration Fund supports carbon-insetting projects in their supply chain. They have an ECONYL collection, have introduced a bio-based nylon, and some of their sunglasses are now made from bio-based acetate made with renewable energy. Excess fabric created during product development is donated to a women-led, non-profit fashion cooperative that provides employment opportunities to disadvantaged people. By 2022, Burberry hopes to have 100% of their cotton sourced sustainably.
