Paris-based Japanese Issey Miyake currently develops in a brand-owned lab environmentally-friendly materials that are recycled and reworked into new pieces. Some sources affirm that Miyake uses recycled PET bottles to create his own fabrics.

132.5 a new brand launched in 2010 by Issey Miyake. “Regeneration and Re-creation” are the two principles of 132.5. The brand was developed starting from 2007 and it introduced new innovative and sustainable collections. Issey Miyake’s Reality Lab has been working with computer scientists to creare shirts, skirts, dresses, pants and more. The principle material used is recycled polyester fabric that continues to be experimented and developed for modern everyday garments.
