Sustainable Trends Fall Winter 22-23 | A New Armour

A great lesson Covid has taught us is fashion's ability to rethink old systems and find others with which to reinvent itself. A veritable Armour of corsets, leather dresses, and exaggerated shoulders has taken hold this Fall Winter 2022, making us forget the monotony of a pandemic that has forced us to stand still for so long.

Luxiders Magazine is here to present you with the most iconic trends that will accompany us in the upcoming winter season.

BIKER STYLE AND LEATHER

Total looks with mini bags and leather gloves returned for this new season. Biker-style uniforms were glimpsed on the catwalks of Alexander McQueen, Dior, and the Italian automaker brand Ferrari. For the former Fall Winter 2022 collection, the brand affirms its commitment to the use of sustainable materials with explicit references to drivers' uniforms. Vegan leather dresses and accessories were spotted on the Stella McCartney catwalk.

CORSETED BALLGOWNS AND TOPS

The trend we could not do without for the new winter season is the return of corsets. Whether they are corseted ballgowns, as in the case of Gucci and Balmain, or worn solely as a top, as in the case of the sustainable brands Elena Velez and No Sesso, the beauty of this garment will remain immortal. And if the latter once constrained the body, it now seems to symbolize freedom that has no boundaries.

OVERSIZE BROAD SHOULDERS

Staying on the subject of excess, the return of the exaggerated 80s shoulder pads saw its umpteenth moment of glory on the Balenciaga catwalk. Oversized tailoring with bold shoulders was also revived by Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent while keeping an elegant touch and preserving French savoir-faire.
