THE ELDER STATESMAN

-- --

From a simple cashmere blanket can born a knitwear brand for women, men and children. The Elder Statesman is proof of it. The founder Grag Chait, after receiving a blanket from a friend as a gift, becomes obsessed by its softness for days. He decides to found the brand in 2007, based first in Los Angeles and then expanded to New York, initially producing only blankets. It all starts in an office, full of good quality materials and a team of knitters. From blankets to knitwear to even a collection of children’s toys. The fabrics and buttons in recycled cashmere come from Italy and they are embroidered and dyed by hand in LA. A thousand textures of different colors, such as tie-dye take shape on unique and colorful garments that combine comfort with quality.
