The small selection of vegan shoes by Balluta is designed and ethically produced in Portugal. Being vegan was not enough for the Portuguese label. They also strive to use eco-friendly materials and make their business processes as sustainable as possible. All of the materials they use for transportation and branding are made from recycled and recyclable certified paper.
Their leather-alternative materials include ecological vegan leather, micro-fibre and cork. The designs of Balluta’s shoes are very unique and focus on neutral colours, hardware detailing and innovative uses of ribbons.
This vegan stiletto company just recently launched in 2018. It was founded by a vegan blogger, Nadhisha Lu, who wanted to create high heels that are high quality but also kind to animals. The shoes are ethically made in a factory in China and Huntd aims for an environmentally-friendly manufacturing process.
The collection consists of six stiletto heels in the colours black, matte black and nude with two different heel size options.
This shoe label is very new to the ethical and vegan shoe world. Founded in 2017 by Enrica Ramilli, the brand wants to offer eco-friendly, vegan and Italian shoes that are still fashionable. The shoes are certified by the Vegan Society Birmingham and made entirely in Italy.
On their online shop, you’ll find stilettos, overknee boots, platforms, sandals and flats in unique prints and materials like velvet.
The former label Optificio V is now known as Nemanti. Their shoes are cruelty-free vegan and environmentally-friendly, since Nemanti uses recycled materials and innovative materials like Alcantara with zero CO2 emissions or vegan leather made from apples. Their designs are classic and sleek and you’ll find shoes for the office, night outs and casual occasions. Nemanti also offers a selection of shoes for men that look luxurious and high-end.
Mireia Playa is a Spanish company that manufactures under ethical conditions in Spain and puts a focus on sustainability as well. The PETA-approved vegan shoe company is known for their creative designs for the women that love a casual and comfortable style. The label doesn’t fear the use of platforms, chunky heels, buckles, and colourful prints and has been featured in magazines like Marie Claire, Harper’s BAZAAR and Women’s Health.
