We hope you are all managing to breathe in these challenging times. With everything that’s been going on there isn’t a right answer for what we all should be doing right now. For some of us staying busy and occupied help to cope with the situation, for others just an idea of that brings out stress.

Don’t feel like you have to stay productive 24/7. There is a lot of pressure on social media around the productivity these days that might play with people’s mental health. If you feel like doing nothing, do nothing. If you feel like watching movies, watch movies. If you feel like crying, cry a little. If you feel like sleeping in, sleep in. This is all very new situation for all of us and there isn’t a right protocol on how to act and deal with all this. Don’t compare or pressure yourself.

You are allowed to rest, be kind to yourself.

On the other hand, it might also be an incredible opportunity to finally get on with the activities we didn’t really have time for before. You can practice that dance routine when no one is watching, do more yoga, read the book you wanted to read for so long, start to write the book you wanted to write for so long. Be curious and expand your knowledge or get more informed about the topics that excites you. UNDERSTANDING FASHION: FROM BUSINESS TO CULTURE

Institut Français de la Mode launches its first ever MOOC. The course offers a dual approach to fashion, both as a cultural phenomenon and as a creative industry. It is taught by Professor Benjamin Simmenauer, who teaches brand strategy at the school. Several Professors from Institut Français de la Mode and academic experts also provide input on historical, economic, sociological or aesthetical perspectives.
