Fashion Story | Dawn of a New Age | Porto

This ungrateful somnambulism…

It is over.

I do not want things get faster faster

I do not like things get cheaper faster

Where lies the value of life?

It is the time.

Now.

The dawn of a new age

Learning by doing

intended consequences...

into the future.

Garment created by MIGUEL VIEIRA with fabric from SOMELOS, which combines the Polyester Seaqual with a long fibre cotton. Seaqual is made by recycling the plastic collected from the bottom of the sea. The supply chain takes place in a restricted geographical area, which lowers the environmental impact.

Garment created by DAVII with a reversed double face knitted fabric produced with mix of eco fibres by JOAPS. The knitted fabric was produced with natural fibres and designed to take advantages of their natural properties.

Garment created by GONÇALO PEIXOTO with a knitted fabric in 100% organic linen made by JOAPS, a natural fibre obtained according to organic production.

Garment made with wastes from the garment production, using unique handmade processes, created by PÉ DE CHUMBO with industrial wastes, such as wastes from the cutting process, yarns and fabric leftovers and other resources not used by the industrial textile process.

Garment made by NUNO BALTAZAR for RIOPELE with fabrics from the second generation of Tenowa - The rebirth of textiles. This piece incorporates the concept of circular economy, using a continuous filament in cellulosic fibre, to produce a fluid and luxurious satin made from a rustic recycled raw material (waste generated in the textile industry and fabric leftovers), dyed in a sustainable process with low water consumption.

Gaya collection garment developed by SCORECODE using materials stored for years in the company (dead stock), whether textile structure or final garments, giving rise to a new garment. With Gaya collection garments the useful life of existing textile resources are extended and therefore reducing the use of virgin resources.

Garment designed by PE DE CHUMBO with yarn produced with polyester Repreve mixed with organic cotton and naturally biodegradable Kapok fibre, made by the company INOVAFIL. The Repreve polyester is obtained from recycled plastic bottles, having associated a marker system - FiberPrint technology that allows fibre traceability from raw material to finished product. With the marker system it is possible to identify how many plastic bottles were recycled in the yarn production, from the raw material phase to the final product.

Garment designed by JOAO RÔLO with knitted fabric by A. SAMPAIO & FILHOS, which combines a yarn in Polyester Seaqual in the inner side with an organic Merino Wool for moisture management optimization. The polyester Seaqual is made by recycling the plastic collected from the bottom of the sea. The supply chain takes place in a restricted geographical area, which lowers the environmental impact made by recycling the plastic collected from the bottom of the sea.
