When a journalist and vintage collector born in Los Angeles, based in Milan, spent the last 16 years exploring and witnessing the fashion history, there is no wonder when the same journalist named JJ Martin founds the brand La DoubleJ, in 2015, that sells a well-structured selection of vintage clothing and jewelry. The DoubleJ wants to celebrate the "Great Gorgeous Girls" in the round and it does so through its joyful aesthetic that gathers archival prints, cool home design and rare vintage. Inside the Italian forgotten archives are preserved the best vintage clothes, which are printed on new fabrics, giving birth to a new collection entirely signed DoubleJ. Moreover, the manufacturing process takes place in Italy and it is carried out by the best Italian manufacturers who cherish that precious and renowned Made in Italy. In 2017, a line of perfectly modelled and maximalist ceramic and linen masterpieces, inspired by the legendary Milanese housewives, otherwise known as Sciure, was presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. It reminds us that the world of DoubleJ is very spacious, visionary and always on the move.
