Dolce & Gabbana have published an extensive sustainability report covering 'responsibility and honesty', 'respect for the environment' and 'respect for people' among other factors. However, the brand has recently been criticized for 'greenwashing': the much-vaunted biodegradable silk fabric used in several of their pieces, is known to contribute to water pollution and an array of mental illnesses, strokes and cancers close to the factory where it is produced in India.
