Visitors of Première Vision Paris at Paris Nord Villepinte will have the opportunity to discover collections of nearly 1,200 international exhibitors from 42 countries including Italy, Spain, Korea, Japan, the UK and more. In addition to that, PV Paris will delight guests with a variety of sustainable fashion offers.

A BETTER WAY

To start with, launched in July 2023, the sustainable programme for more transparent sourcing that decodes and showcases exhibitors’ efforts and investments will expand. From February 2024, ‘A better way’ will now encompass Manufacturing and Smart Materials, in addition to Fabrics, Yarns, and Leather, which were already integrated.

THE FUTURE OF THE LEATHER INDUSTRY

Today, the leather industry is facing new challenges that go beyond the technical issues. The preservation of lands, environmental and traceability issues are becoming priorities for the industry. In the new edition, Première Vision Paris is putting the spotlight on leather, which makes it the first show to address questions and solutions destined to shape the leather industry’s future.

First of all, PV Paris introduces a new Leather Hub designed for inspiration and innovation, highlighting the SS 25 season’s most remarkable leathers used in clothing, footwear and leather goods. Furthermore, Leather Hub will showcase the best uses, know-how, techniques and sustainable developments.

The second novelty is a dedicated space for French tanners. The French Tanneries are committed to sustainable, socially responsible leather, in harmony with the environment and looking to the future. You will have the opportunity to meet 14 French Tanners along with the FFTM (Fédération Française de la Tannerie Mégisserie).

Thirdly, with its new 360° Leather: From farm to tech itinerary, Première Vision will provide concrete solutions for leather buyers, environmental teams and the information systems departments of brands and design studios, by bringing together for the first time new kinds of industry players. 5 companies specializing in agriculture, the environment and tech, namely AGOTERRA, COPERGREEN, Coriome, SMX and Tell Elevage,  will present their solutions in the Leather Hub in Hall 3

WHERE CAN WE FIND DEADSTOCK FOR OUR COLLECTION?

Deadstock fabrics are new, they could be production leftovers, have minor defects or were rejected for reasons that didn’t match the original specifications.

Première Vision is taking another step toward promoting the circular economy by featuring a special area dedicated to deadstock from fashion luxury houses. The unused materials will be offered by 27 exhibitors, including Adapta, Nona Source and, for the first time, L’Atelier des Matières. The full list of suppliers you can find here.

The “revaluation” of deadstock allows you to integrate deadstock materials in the creative process from the sourcing stage.

“Creating in this way often requires reversing the design process: starting not from a pattern but from the stock itself, the available yardage and the technical characteristics of the material in order to come up with the most appropriate product.” - Première Vision.

UNIQUE TECHNIQUES IN MAISON D’EXCEPTIONS

Are you wishing to open the world of craftsmanship and excellence for yourself and meet passionate artisans who are delighted to share their rare techniques? The February edition of PV Paris will bring together some 20 artisans from around the world to reveal their unique and cutting-edge know-how in textiles, leather and accessories.

Maison d’Exceptions (Hall 5) is a special area exclusively reserved for luxury brands, with an access upon accreditation only. The space is designed to propose exclusive, creative and unique or custom-made products. A dozen ateliers, including Superlativa, P+L Studio, Cécile Gray and Modi Embroidery, will feature contemporary techniques, such as hand embroidery, mother-of-pearl plating, costume jewelry, non-woven silk and metal meshwork. Eight ateliers from India, Japan, Italy and China will present ancestral techniques in hand weaving, dyeing and embroidery, working with silk, wool and even gold threads. They include 7Weaves, Atelier Seiran, Ricami Laura, Omi Jofu and others.
