Green Product Awards 2026 | A Celebration of Innovation, Community, and Hope
At a time when headlines are dominated by economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and environmental challenges, it is easy to lose sight of the people working every day to create positive change. Yet on 28 May 2026, Berlin became a reminder that another story is unfolding. One driven by creativity, collaboration, and the belief that better solutions are possible.
The Green Product Awards 2026 brought together designers, entrepreneurs, innovators, sustainability experts, and jury members from around the world for a day dedicated to the future of responsible design. As a member of the jury, Co-Founder and Art Director of Luxiders Magazine, Belvis Soler, had the privilege of witnessing first-hand the energy, knowledge, and optimism that define this remarkable community.
A Morning of Ideas and Exchange
The day began with the Green Product Awards Summit, a gathering designed to foster dialogue across different sectors of sustainable innovation. Throughout the venue, participants could choose from a variety of workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions covering topics ranging from circular design and materials innovation to regulatory developments and communication strategies.
One of the workshops focused on PR, marketing, and sustainability communication, an area that has become increasingly important as consumers seek greater transparency and authenticity from brands. The session was led by Katja Keienburg, Publisher of Baby&Junior Magazine, and our Art Director and co-founder, Belvis Soler.
Together, they explored how brands can communicate their values more effectively, build meaningful relationships with media, and create narratives that resonate with today’s audiences. We discussed social media strategies, press relations, storytelling, and the growing responsibility brands have to communicate sustainability with honesty and clarity. According to several attendees, the workshop became one of the most engaging discussions of the day, reflecting a growing recognition that innovation alone is no longer enough. The ability to communicate that innovation responsibly has become equally essential.

The Historic Setting of the Colosseum Cinema
As the afternoon turned into evening, the focus shifted from discussion to celebration.
The Green Product Awards Ceremony took place at Berlin’s historic Colosseum Cinema, one of the city’s most iconic cultural venues. The atmosphere was both elegant and welcoming, bringing together innovators, jury members, partners, and guests in a setting that perfectly reflected the spirit of the event: a blend of heritage, creativity, and forward thinking.
Walking into the auditorium, we were struck by the diversity of the audience. Professionals, entrepreneurs, designers, and sustainability advocates had travelled from across the world to be there. Conversations flowed effortlessly between different disciplines, cultures, and generations, united by a shared commitment to creating products and systems that respect both people and the planet.

More Than Awards
While the ceremony honoured some of the most innovative sustainable products and projects of the year, what stood out most was not the competition itself.
The Green Product Awards have always represented something larger than recognition. They serve as a meeting point for people who believe that design can be a force for positive transformation. Throughout the evening, each project demonstrated that sustainability is no longer a niche conversation. It is becoming a fundamental driver of innovation across industries.
From circular systems and regenerative materials to new approaches in product design, communication, and manufacturing, the projects presented throughout the event reflected a common ambition: to rethink how we create, consume, and live.
Lessons from the Jury
Serving on the jury is always an inspiring experience because it offers a unique perspective on emerging ideas and future directions.
This year, several themes repeatedly emerged across categories. Circularity is evolving from an aspiration into a practical reality. Transparency is becoming a baseline expectation rather than a competitive advantage. Repairability, longevity, and material innovation are increasingly shaping the way products are conceived. Adaptability is becoming a “must”. Most importantly, many designers are moving beyond simply reducing harm and are actively seeking ways to create positive environmental and social impact.
These developments demonstrate that sustainability is maturing. The conversation is becoming more sophisticated, more ambitious, and ultimately more hopeful.
The Power of Community
As the evening came to a close, what stayed with me most was not a specific project, product, or presentation.
It was the people. The Green Product Awards community radiates a rare sense of optimism. Despite economic pressures, political uncertainty, and the immense environmental challenges facing our world, these innovators continue to invest their energy, creativity, and expertise into building better alternatives.
There is something deeply encouraging about being surrounded by individuals who refuse to accept the status quo and instead dedicate themselves to imagining and creating solutions. The Green Product Awards 2026 reminded us that meaningful change rarely happens in isolation. It emerges through collaboration, shared knowledge, and communities willing to support one another.
In a world often defined by division, this gathering offered something increasingly valuable: hope.
And perhaps that is the most important innovation of all.
